We took the hotel shuttle bus to Hostel Lisboa 葡京酒店 which is also the Casino Lisboa 葡京娱乐场. Our first stop is to try our luck if Margaret’s Café e Nata opens for business. According to the information I search from the net, they are closed for business on Wednesday. Well, they didn’t open and we move to Reataurant Platao九如坊 for our lunch. We ordered a piece of their signature Biscuit Mousse 木糠蛋糕 and baked duck rice 焗鴨飯 for the kids. It was another expensive lunch which cost us MOP235.

Biscuit Mousse 木糠蛋糕

We return to the hotel after lunch and prepare to leave for airport. We took a cab to airport and since there is still plenty of time, i got the driver fetch me to Coloane 路環. I want to buy the famous Portuguese egg tart from Lord Stow’s Bakery 安德魯餅店. It seems like something missing if I didn’t try the famous Portuguese egg tart in Macau. 6 Portuguese egg tarts at HKD40, a little pricey but trust me, it was so tasty!!!! We love it so much and cant wait to wallop it while waiting for boarding.

AK55 was late for around 20 minutes. It was a smooth and pleasant flight and both the kids dozed off during the take.

We have our Portuguese dinner at Restaurant Dumbo 小飛象葡國餐廳. The food was so tasty, except the suckling pig, which is also the most expensive dish in bill. I like their steam cod fish very much. the dinner cost us MOP285, burn a big hole on our wallet.

Our next destination is, City of Dream 新濠天地 which is just opened not long ago. City of Dream 新濠天地 is located next to Venetian 威尼斯人. We went to check out the bubble show, Dragon’s Treasure 天幕龍騰after reaching City of Dream 新濠天地. We were given the ticket for the 9.30pm show. The supernatural show was really superb!!!! Both the kids enjoy the show very much although they did say it was a little scary.

After the show, we then brought the kids to watch the mermaid at the huge virtual aquarium near the entrance. It was another perfect attraction besides the bubble show. The kids were so happy and excited seeing the ‘real’ mermaids swimming in front of them.

the mermaid

We took the shuttle bus of City of Dream to Wynn Hotel to catch the beautiful musical fountain show before return to the hotel. it was an eventful day for all of us.

The journey in Macau was started after we dump all the belongings in the room. We took a walk to Largo Do Senado, 议事亭前地 for our first meal in Macau. We had the famous wantan mee at 黄枝记云吞面. To be frank, their signature dish ‘braised noodle w/shrimp’s egg 蝦子撈麵’ was not as tasty as what we thought, a little disappointed. After lunch, we then move to the 義順牛奶公司 for their famous steam milk custard 雙皮燉奶. I ordered steam egg custard 冰花燉雞蛋 for myself. The aroma of the steam milk/egg custard was very good, but we all don’t really like the taste. The dessert was not our cup of tea. We paid MOP28 for the dessert.

We walked around Largo Do Senado, 议事亭前地 to burn some calories before we continue our trip to Ruins of St.Paul 大三巴牌坊. It was so tiring to climb up to the Ruins of St.Paul 大三巴牌坊; however the view from the top is not bad. LOL we then continue the journey to the Fortress Armourial 大炮台 which is next to the Ruins of St.Paul 大三巴牌坊….. but we are to tired to climb another stair case, and decided to stop by at the Fortress Armourial gate instead. We sit on the bench to enjoy the breezing air while the kids have their Milo.

I planned to take the earlier ferry to Macau, but unfortunately we can’t make it. It’s too difficult to get up from the bed.

After check out the hotel, we took a cab to the Tsim Sha Tsui ferry pier at HKD20; it was about 10 minutes drive from the hotel to the TST ferry pier. We reach the ferry terminal at around 11.10am and immediately we went to buy the ferry ticket for Macau. The ticket cost HKD134 each, around RM245, no discount ticket for kid. We then took the hotel shuttle bus to the hotel after we got my HKD dollars change into Macau dollars.

We were not allowed to check in the luggage as the ferry is leaving soon. so, we have to pay another HKD20 for the baggage and we were asked to keep our luggage at the baggage storage area.

It was around 1.30pm after checking in the Royal Hotel in Macau. Although the room was not spacious like a suite, but it was well decorated and look so deluxe. The hotel gave the kids a goodies bag each and they are very happy with the little gifts they received.

All of us are tire and we decided to have our dinner at the Temple Street again, since it was the nearest place to our hotel. After discuss for a few minutes, we settled in a 大排摊 with the reason, their foods should be nice since they have a lot of customer. LOL we order the fried rice 扬州炒饭, fried noodle and some pepper salted prawn 濑尿虾.

The fried rice is not tasty at all, it was so dry and none of us like it. :S however, the fried noodle was so tasty and the kids love it so much!!! The pepper salted prawn was good too. Overall it was a satisfied dinner for the four of us and it was not so expensive, HKD160.

After dinner, the hubs brought the kids return to the hotel while I continue to tour around the Nathan Road. I walked along the Nathan Road and visit to every drug store for the BioFriend BioMask. Too bad, none of them have it. I was extremely tired and decided to take MRT instead of walking back to the hotel, although it was only one station away.

There is a shop selling a lot of Crocs shoes, I don’t know it was original or fake (most probably is fake) since I don’t know how to differentiate it. I was so tempted to get it since it was on at HKD30 per pair. I talked about this to the hubs after I return to the hotel and he decided to go check it out. He then brought back 2 pair of crocs shoes for the kids.

It was our last night at HK and we will move to Macau on the next day morning.

We reach the theme park at around 12.40pm. It was quite late as I expected to arrive early. Gosh …

Since we had a late breakfast, so we take the time to walk around the park and stuff the kids with pack of Milo. There is High School Musical parade which is closure for the past few days, however the kids doesn’t like it. We first go to the Tomorrow land for the Buzz Lightyear ride and the boy loves it so much. He want to play it repeat and repeat! Of course, we manage to snap some photo with buzz lightyear too.

To be frank, the food inside the theme park is not tasty at all!!! Lucky that it was free. We have several round of photo taking session with the character at Fantasy Garden. We had a really fun time inside the theme park as we don’t have to rush like mad for this and that.

We leave the park at around 7pm to avoid the crowd at MTR station.

Monday is our last day in Hong Kong and we will move to Macau on the next day.

We are supposed to go to Ocean Park but when I ask the kids if they prefer Mickey or Dolphin, both of them agreed to re-visit to Hong Kong Disneyland. Well, I don’t mind to return to Disneyland as long as the kids like it since both park also very HOT, I means the weather.

Instead of buying the Disneyland ticket at the theme park, we bought it from a local agent at TST. The ticket from the local agent comes with a free meal & drink, which is much worthy. The gal got the annual pass to the Disneyland, so we only have to buy 2 tickets.

It took us some time to get to the agent office for the ticket. It was a big mistake as we opt to walk to TST from our hotel; we should get a cab which is easier n faster. While we are on the way to the agent office, I saw the restaurant which I initially plan to have dinner, immediately I delete it from my list as it was quite far to the MTR station.

We took the star ferry to Tsim Tsa Tsui after dinner at Restaurant Yung Kee. Our first stop at TST is Peninsula Hotel as we have to collect the famous handmade mooncake (奶黃酥皮月餅) from Spring Moon Chinese Restaurant (嘉麟樓,半島酒店) which we have already pre-book and paid for it before we leave for the trip. It is advice to pre-book the mooncake to prevent disappointment.

奶黃酥皮月餅 from 嘉麟樓,半島酒店

The mooncake was so tiny and it cost HKD198 for eight pieces, anyway it was delicious.

When we are at the hotel to collect the mooncake, I saw there is a notice saying that all of the handmade mooncake are sold off. However the mooncake which made by the food factory are still available. There is no preservative use for this handmade mooncake, so it has to be keeping inside the fridge.

The next stop is Kowloon Hotel which is located next to Peninsula Hotel. Yes, we order mooncake from them too. It was much cheaper, selling at HKD148 with 30% discount (HKD103.60 after discount) for order received before 31 Aug 2009. So, we submit our order before 31 August and inform to collect the mooncake by September.

By the time we reach Kowloon Hotel, the mooncake counter is about to close and lucky that we reach there a minute before. With both hands full of mooncake, we decided to return to the hotel for a rest. Instead of taking MTR, we decided walk from TST to our hotel, which made us even more tire!!!

After spending like 30 minutes at H&M, we then heading to Restaurant Yung Kee for the famous roasted goose and its century egg. Knowing that it was Sunday and the restaurant might be pack and hard to get a seat if without prior reservation made, I sms msau to check if she is coming soon and need me to make a last-minute reservation for her.

We didn’t order much, but only half roasted goose, fried rice for the kids and of course, the century eggs. The roasted goose is not as tasty as what I thought, but the century egg is very delicious! The century egg was served as tit bit, half century eggs for each guest. The portion is too little for such tasty century egg, so ends up I order another one century eggs to satisfy my stomach.

It was quite an expensive dinner, we paid HKD 413.10 for it.

We return to Central via bus and took a walk to Yung Kee restaurant for the famous roasted goose. On the way from Central Bus Station to Wellington Road, we spot a few sport cars with the beautiful halo headlights while the kids spot a Toys R Us shop and insisted want to go in; since it is still early, so we just go in to the shop.

Btw, I was offered a few minutes to take a glance on the kids department of H& M before we head to Yung Kee. LOL

After brunch at Café de Carol, we headed to take MTR to the Central for the main bus station for bus to Stanley. Since it was Sunday, there are a lot of Pilipino everywhere in the Central, as of I was in Philippine.

Again, KX was in his la-la-land when we reach Stanley market. He makes a big fuss after wake up from his nap. He cry non-stop and it took quite a while for him to back to normal.

So happen, there is an event about the 2009 HK East Asian Games (活力南區迎東亞) held at Stanley Square, Alex Fong (方力申) is one of the VIP. Besides that, I love to walk at the Stanley Market as there are lot of stuffs selling. Now, I feel regret of not buying any cheong sum for the gal, the material is so nice, as well as the design.

Before we left Stanley, KW and I went to Jenny Bakery which is nearby to the Stanley Market to buy some homemade cookies. The texture of the cookies was so soft and smooth, and it was delicious! We like it so much.

We get off at Mongkok Station and heading to Temple Street for the famous clay pot rice which we missed on the day before. As what the info I got from internet, we can see the restaurant once we are at the Temple Street.

We order the recommended chicken claypot rice and not forgotten, the famous oyster omelette.

Chicken Claypot Rice with Sausage

and this, without sausage

For the claypot rice, I think the chicken claypot rice at Pudu here is much delicious. No comment on the oyster omelette as I am not a fan of oyster.

We paid HKD100 (RM46) for 3 claypot rice + oyster omelette + 2 soft drinks.

We have a walk from one end to another end of Temple Street after dinner, and stop by at Wing On Department Store which is just opposite our hotel. We bought a lip balm and lotion from Burt’s Bee to nourish the kids’ skin. KW skin is very dry due to the weather.

** When we are at the Temple Street for the Claypot Chicken Rice, we saw there is a guy (from the clothes he wore, he doesn’t look like a beggar) was lying on the roadside. It has been quite some time and he still lying there. Know what, we saw police and ambulance was there trying to call the guy from his ‘sleep’. A few minutes later, the guy woke up and refuses to follow the police and ambulance. :S

After brunch, we walk around the town heading to Mongkok Station to take MTR to Shatin for New Town Plaza.

The mall is huge. O_O anyway, we have a great time at Uniqlo to shop for ‘clearance sales’ clothes. There is not many item in offer but we still manage to find some from the bargain corner. I bought a kid T shirt at HKD19 and some adult T shirts at HKD39/59. Lucky is, KX was in his la-la-land while we are in the shop.

Inside the mall…. scary huh!!!

As promised to KW, we then brought them to the Snoopy Town after the boy wake up from his nap. It was a super sunny day and very HOT! The ‘slide thingy’ is too hot to touch on it. We went into this school bus after a boat ride. There is air-cond inside the school bus.

We left the mall after spent some times at Toys R Us. The gal was quite disappointed as I didn’t get the ‘Princess’s house’ for her. Anyway, I promised to her that will buy from KL later.

We had our brunch at Australia Dairy Co. The queue to the restaurant was long, but it moved fast. We ordered two set of brunch (HKD28 each), which consists of macaroni soup with ham + toast & scrambled eggs + tea. As what we read from the internet, the scrambled egg was so delicious and both of us liked it so much. The macaroni soup with ham was delicious too; just that it was a bit salty. Anyway, the kids love it so much and they had a lot of it.

According to my itinerary, we are supposing to dinner at the famous clay pot rice at Temple Street. But, I think I really ‘look down’ at this Temple Street; I thought the restaurant is so easy to spot on. Well, most of the posts I have read about that restaurant said that they saw the restaurant once they were at the Temple Street. And, Temple Street is only a long straight street, so I assume it should be no problem to look for the restaurant as I don’t mind to walk from one end to another end of the Temple Street.

My goodness… the Temple Street is so …. so ….so …. long and it has two parts which is near the Jordan MTR station and another near the Mongkok MTR Station. We went to the wrong one. The one we went is near the Jordan MTR exit while the restaurant is near the Temple Street at Mongkok MTR. So, we ends up settle our dinner at

Yoshinoya. :S

After dinner, we went to buy 2 prepaid SIM cards from PCCW and had herbal tea before return to hotel.
